Define, Research, Analysis & Planning

In the Define phase, my responsibilities included collaborating with UDOT stakeholders to clearly outline the objectives and scope of the Contractor Zone platform. This involved conducting workshops and meetings to gather requirements, define user personas, and establish project goals. Additionally, I played a vital role in facilitating discussions to ensure alignment between the client's vision and the project's objectives. Through effective communication and documentation, we were able to set a solid foundation for the design process.

During Research, I conducted extensive analysis to understand the needs and pain points of both UDOT and contractors. One of my key responsibilities was conducting interviews with stakeholders to gather insights into their workflows and preferences. Additionally, I analyzed data from user surveys, market research, and competitor analysis to inform our design decisions. By synthesizing this information, we were able to gain a deep understanding of user requirements and develop solutions tailored to their needs.

In the Analysis & Planning phase, I contributed to the development of user flowcharts and site maps to help visualize the website flow and structure. These artifacts were essential for both the client and the development team to understand the overall navigation and organization of the platform.  By digitalizing the client's prequalification application process and developing a project bidding system, we streamlined key processes and enhanced the efficiency of interactions between contractors and the state.
